When GarageBand first landed as a free DAW on Macs, I played around with Apple Loops. I created this one piece and never returned to creating a song using loops, though at the time I thought I would. (The only instrument in this recording that's not an Apple Loop is the organ near the end. That's me with my very limited keyboard “skills”.) Other projects beckoned and I got into laying down my own tracks in GarageBand to back songs that I'd written. And later I would take the leap to Logic Pro. - Paul Fifield 2026
