These recordings were made just a few months before we got Haywire off the ground. I was still in Oregon making plans to move my family to Redwood City so we could start the band. In these recordings Gary and Elmer were having fun trying out material and we wound up doing several of these songs in the band: That's How Strong My Love Is, In the Meantime, Dark Eyes, and Hangman. Both Gary and Elmer have passed in recent years, which makes these recording even more precious.
