The beginnings of this song came to me in a dream in 2009. The first verse describes the way the dream looked. The following verses describe how the dream felt. All I had to start with was the first verse, which I wrote down in the morning as I recalled the dream. Then I set the idea aside. A year or so later I attended a songwriting workshop at Esalen, CA, During an hour or so of down time the first day I felt inspired by the surroundings and wrote some nascent lines. Then I set it aside again. I didn't return to it until Sept. 2024, at which time I finished the lyrics, recorded and produced the song to come up with this final version.
