On The Run (2024-6)
In 2024 into 2026 I continue to write, rewrite and produce songs in my home studio, using BIAB, Logic Pro, guitars, a 5-string electric bass, a word processor, and a good quality microphone. Though there are some songs in this collection where I play all or most of the parts, BIAB continues to be my go-to app for creating the backing tracks. It produces excellent results and I've become very comfortable with its tool set. This collection is a work in progress. I'll be adding to it in an ongoing basis.
Since I first created this playlist I've added 3 songs: Shadows, Dreams Have Their Reasons, and Funky Rhythm. The backing tracks for the first 2 of these songs were created in Suno. Though I've now left Suno behind due to ethical considerations, and returned to using BIAB, I don't have current plans to “de-suno-ize” those 2 tracks. The final addition, Funky Rhythm, was a tune I created using mostly Apple Loops back in 2004 when GarageBand first hit the Mac. It's all loops except the organ near the end.
