This is one of those songs that sort of bubbled up as I goofed around playing my guitar. Almost anytime I pick up my guitar something new will come about. Most of the time these snippets come to nothing. I record lots of them though - anything that I think might have merit enough to become a song. Years ago I used a little digital recorder that allowed me transfer the recordings to my desktop computer. Once iTunes was invented I started transferring the snippets into iTunes. Then the iPhone was invented and I got a little microphone that would attach to it and an app that went with it. I think it was called iRecorder by Griffin Technolgies. Eventually the iPhone had its own recorder app and I began using that. Currently I have some 1500 of those snippets in iTunes, though many of them are iterations I recorded as I played with developing ideas. Needless to say, I'll never get back to all of them, even if I don't ever record another snippet. - Paul Fifield
